| Breaking News | | Monday, June 6th, 1977: WL's #1 Player, Fradera of New Glarus Michael Fradera must have thought he was in seventh heaven this week. First he went on a sensational hitting spree, belting the ball at a .450 pace, then the New Glarus catcher finds outs he has been selected the top performer and gets the Williams League Player of the Week Award.
Asked what his hitting philosophy was, Fradera quipped to the BNN reporters, "Well, my theory of hitting is to just watch the ball as it comes in and hit it."
It was a good week's work for Fradera. He hit .450 average (9-20) with 3 home runs and 13 RBIs.

As far as career numbers Kliebert has compiled a .281 batting average and collected 2000 hits, 158 home runs and 924 RBIs. | | Tuesday, May 24th, 1977: Hit Parade: Lopez Pops 5 Hits New Glarus first baseman Horacio Lopez put on quite a show at Green County Stadium with a big 5-hit day in the 9-3 victory over the Mexico City Aztecs.
In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate... 5-5... wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average... and my salary, too."
H. Lopez hit a solo-shot off F. Sanchez in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
