| Breaking News |  | Thursday, September 8th, 1977: Stillwell Reaches 2000
Jack Stillwell reached the 2000-hit milestone this afternoon at Eagle's Nest. The 37-year-old Eagles center fielder went 2-for-4 in a losing effort in the Chattooga 12-9 defeat at the hands of the Chessie Ironhorse.
His career numbers show Stillwell is batting .294 with a total of 114 home runs.

 | Monday, August 29th, 1977: Mays League's Hottest Hitter
At the age of 30, Francisco Salgado might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Chessie left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the Mays League Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 11 hits in 27 at-bats, 3 home runs and 9 RBIs last week in 7 games.
So far in 1977, Salgado is batting .271 with 34 home runs and 94 RBIs.
