Rodney Moran put a hex on Superior in a sparkling 2-0 shutout performance, mesmerizing them on a 5-hit gem.
"I feel good physically," he said. "Everything's comfortable. You should pitch well when that's the case."
It was anything but comfortable for Superior.
"Moran used his changeup very well, very effectively," the opposing manager said. "He threw it in hitter's counts."
The Homer Yetis hurler fanned 9 and walked 2.
This year Moran has a 2-6 record and a 6.75 ERA. |

Rumors circulating around town say reliever Thomas Avans is not happy at all playing in Homer and that the Yetis are actively shopping him around.

 | Thursday, April 21st, 1977: Homer Loses Heacock
The Homer Yetis will have to make do without Rob Heacock for 3 weeks. He suffered a damaged meniscus while running the bases in the game today against the New Glarus Brewmasters. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the catcher. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Heacock will miss 3 weeks.
This year Heacock has hit at a .150 clip with 3 RBIs, 1 home run and 4 runs scored.
