just looking at the "owners list" post.. it seems like we've got at least 4 owners MIA.  3 that we know are empty.. Derry, St. Paul, Sahara.. and it looks like Corran hasn't checked in either (texas).

I know contraction reared its ugly  head recently in the MIBL... is that something we need to be thinking about here as well?  4 teams seems like a lot to be leaderless.. especially since they're all in the WL.  Makes for a bit of a competitive imbalance.

ok, not to reply to myself, but this just seems more of a concern based on Omelette's email today that he is quitting again.  That puts us at definitely 4 and possibly 5 open teams.  Seems like we need to do something.. Contract to 20 perhaps...

Just my opinion - why not advertise for new members on the forums or with friends. Definitely still plenty of active OOTP people out there.

I think that's a great idea.  I'd certainly rather see new blood than have to discard teams, no question.  Personally, i'm pretty much tapped out though.  Anyone I know who was interested is playing :)

Also, we've had empty teams for a while now.. so i wasn't too sure about the pool of active owners.

I've been hesitant to advertise on the forums of other leagues I'm in, (only 2 others), but sure seems like it's time to do so.

We've got 5 open teams right now. I've contacted commishes of two other leagues to see if they mind me advertising on their forums for the BBL.

I'd suggest milk cartons ads, amber alerts, episodes of Without A Trace...
