Texas leaves C Robt Chitty at FC Municipal Prison

Texas management decided it was finally time to do something about the clubhouse cancer that was catcher Robt Chitty.  Chitty was batting a pathetic .167 and causing a distraction in an already trying Texas clubhouse because he felt that he should be the starting catcher for the Timewarp.  He also refused demotion to AAA multiple times, preventing him from working on his increasingly slow swing.  So before Monday's game at Falls Church, instead of being given a game jersey, Chitty was given a jumpsuit and handcuffs.  The Texas manager confirmed that Chitty was accused of tax evasion, and would remain at FC Municipal Prison once the team left for home.  Texas has terminated Chitty's contract, and has specifically requested that bail not be granted for Chitty as he should be considered a flight risk  (His running speed is still somehow rated at a "5").

In other words, Texas releases C Robt Chitty with "great vengance, and furious anger"...

This is a early nomination for post of the year... love it!

Thanks for reminding me why we let him go - "clubhouse cancer" doesn't begin to describe the experience of the later Chitty years in Halifax.  Smile
