Got a note from the "owner" saying:
"You have been informed by the team owner that the budget for next season. You will have $55,795,065 available for total player and staff expenses."
Huh? That seems odd. Now my financials show as...
Player payroll: 80,330, 667 Current Budget: 55,795,065 Proj. Budget room: -24,535,602
Then on the financials page says: "Your financial situation is not adequate. You have no money left for player or staff signings!"
Just wondering what happened here. I made a profit last season (though it looks like I lost 145K because with the surplus I cut D.Mayon and his remaining 2 years on a cheap deal.) I know it can be fixed manually, but still seems odd. Maybe it's because the Media Contract figure is currently set at only 5,000,000 vs. 35,000,000. Now why the media contract lost 30,000,000 I don't know.
Hope ootp9 fixes this financial mess.

Oh so sorry over budget. No new players for you!! I'll rule the WORLD! Or maybe just the BBL.
Now for reality, I hope you're right. This version has been a pita.

I've got the game converted, and went through and double checked the settings, as well as the market size and fan interest.
I fixed the media contract, and added another 30 mil to everyone's budget, which gets them back to what they should have been with the $35m contract.
That took care of some folks, but extensions still may be hard to come by until arbitration hearings come around, which is soon.
The extensions thing is getting folks with a high payroll because it's estimating what the arbitration numbers will look like.
So here's the conundrum: we advance to arb hearings and get that out of the equation (or at least solidified), but then that only leaves 3 days till players go FA, so not a ton of time for negotiations. Or, we stay put to allow more negotiation time, but don't clear up the arb issue.
I think given how much time folks have had for extensions, I'm going to go ahead and fast forward to arb day so folks know what they have to do with their payrolls. I know St. Louis is already over as of right now, so they and others will have to take steps to trim salary.
I'll also work on getting the scouts in place, and adding the necessary money to make up for that. I'll try to get a comprehensive league file up tonight.

so... good news, bad news, and wtf news :
good - I checked in game and with arbitration done, i've got plenty of room to sign extensions before we move on to next season.
bad - the guy i want to sign is no longer asking for 800k. he's asking for 2.2M.
wtf - ALL of my potential FA's are asking for the exact same contract. Was scratching my head a bit on that one.
