He's not helpful enough to suggest a number to me, just "let me hear your offer". So all I know is that, give his performance this season, he's not worth anywhere close to what he's making now.

I doubt he'll accept that. Honestly, in this case it might make sense for you to do a little trial and error and see what kind of 3-year offer he would accept. I know we went to this new way of doing things to avoid you having to do that, but since I'm shooting in the dark on this one, I figure it's the same trial and error thing anyway, and would just be slowed down by us posting offers and responses back and forth.
