    Potential Free Agents

[Update: We're going to give the in-game FA system a shot this season, so perform your extensions in game via the Action button.]

    **OLD STUFF**

See this thread to find out who might become a FA after the current season. At some point during the season you'll need to send me a list of players who will become a free agent after the end of the season.

There are two main things to consider:

    1) Franchise Players: If a player is Franchised and is the last year of his contract, you do not have to roll on him. You'll automatically get to negotiate and will not risk him breaking off negotiations.

Please note: You will have to negotiate if the franchised player is in the last year of his contract. Post your offer in the Contract Extensions forum as usual.

    2) Rolls and Trades: If a player has already been rolled for by a team and is then traded to another team, the new team will inherit the roll result. Therefore, if Team A loses the roll on Player X, and then X gets traded to Team B, X is a rental player for the remainder of the year and will become a free agent.
