hey,

first, i'm trying to find a list of the amateur draft outside of the game.. i checked the getch tools, but the list there doesn't seem right (has a lot of vets on it, or at least it did last time i checked).

Also, are we going to start the drart soon?  Ideally, we should run it in parallel with the FA portion of the offseason so that when that wraps up, we can move on to ST.

I'm pretty sure Emrys said that the getch tools would no longer work once we upgraded to OOTP9.  Guess it might not be a bad idea to remove the link from the site if that is the case...

yeah, unfortunately some of the getch tools won't work with OOTP9, and it's not so much because Getch won't release a version that works, but because we are using scouts. Everything in Getch (esp. the draft tool and development pages), is based off of real ratings, which we won't see anymore.

We can still use some of the getch tools though, like the last sim, etc. (so long as it's compatible, which it may or may not be yet)

At least this time around, we'll have to do it somewhat manually using the Draft forum. I'll work on getting that set up tonight. We'll start the draft ASAP, and won't turn the timer on until we're in the 2nd round or so.

During the first round, while we won't be timing it, I will keep an eye on it and if someone isn't responding after a reasonable amount of time, we will be forced to auto pick for them.
